  • Description

    The SCM Startech CN Plus is a numerically controlled drilling and grooving centre, designed for small to medium woodworking manufacturers but also for larger companies that produce customised products, with in house prototype development departments. As standard the machine is equipped with 8 independent vertical spindles, 6 horizontal spindles and the blade in “X”. The machine can also be specified with an optional 5.5kW router head.

    The machine is fully automatic. Thanks to the automatic side alignment device the panel is loaded into the machine and recovered at the end of the boring-milling program, without any other intervention required by the operator.

    Featuring SCM’s integrated “Maestro” software, the Startech CN Plus allows you to easily create projects and geometrical drawings that are automatically converted into drilling-routing programs for the machine. With a suitable postprocessor, third party CAD/ CAM programs can also be imported.

    The SCM Startech CN Plus can be specified with a choice of drilling units and a router head.

    N.B.

    • it is not possible to route the external side of the panel, where the mobile clamp is positioned
    • 35mm minimum distance between the tool and the external panel side (clamp side) it is not possible to remove som e panel parts, but it is necessary to leave temporary joints or grind the parts to be removed
    • it is possible to use only tools that can rotate at 18.000 rpm speed
