R H WILSON (LAKES) OPT FOR SALVADOR FROM DALTONS WADKIN
R H Wilson situated in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, are timber importers/suppliers to both joinery and furniture manufacturers and the packaging industry.
At their Kirkby Stephen facility they have capacity for sawing, crosscutting and planing/moulding which enables them to supply materials bespoke to customer requirements. Their timber is largely imported from Sweden, Finland and Russia but they also supply British softwood from local sawmills.
Director Rodney Dalton (no relation) consulted Daltons Wadkin regarding their need for faster crosscutting performance. After discussions with Daltons Wadkin Sales Director Andy Walsh a Salvador S200 system was chosen, this being a fully automatic programmable optimising and defecting machine with 6.2 metre infeed, which was delivered, installed and commissioned by Daltons Wadkin engineers in 2016 providing a huge boost to R H Wilson’s capacity.
Andy commented, “We were very pleased to be able to provide just the equipment which R H Wilson needed. It is good to get another Salvador up into the North West where we have had a number of previous successes. I feel sure the machine is doing everything that is required of it by Wilsons and proving an invaluable asset to their business.” Rodney Dalton said, “The Salvador seems to provide just the answer we were looking for. The advice and assistance we had from Daltons Wadkin has proved invaluable. The machine was installed and commissioned efficiently and the machine has already justified its purchase in terms of hugely improved output.”
