• Description

  The L’invincible FS 7 is the flagship combination planer thicknesser from SCM. Heavy duty, cast iron construction ensures vibration free operation. Switching between surfacing and thicknessing operations could not be easier with the power assisted table movement; pushing two buttons on the front of the machine automatically raises the surfacing tables and positions the extractor hood. 

  The “READY” electronic controls are conveniently located on the front of the machine, angled towards the operator with the large, illuminated screen displaying the thicknessing table position, calculator and hour counter. The machine can be used in three modes; mode: manual, semiautomatic and automatic with memory capacity up to 99 programs. 

  The 520mm (20”) surfacing capacity and 250mm thicknessing height is coupled with a high power 9kW motor as standard. The machine is available with a choice of three cutterblocks; high speed steel (HSS), “TERSA” or “Xylent”. 

  A traditional HSS cutter block is supplied as standard. An optional “TERSA” cutter block can also be specified for fast knife changing with no set up required. 

  For ultimate performance the optional “Xylent” spiralknife cutterblock with 3 series of knives is designed to give an exceptional finish. Reduced noise during machining provides a more comfortable working environment. It also improves the dust extraction due to the production of very small chips. Each cutter has 4 tips which can be rotated into the cutting position when worn. Therefore increasing the production life of the cutter block before knives require replacement.
