Planer Moulders from Daltons Wadkin

Daltons Wadkin has forged unique relationships and sole distributor partnerships with Europe’s leading planer moulder manufacturers; Kuper, Ledinek and SCM. Offering a comprehensive portfolio of joinery and mill specification equipment, the range includes everything from entry level four sided planers to ultra high speed moulders operating at up to 1000 m/min.

 SCM

Italian manufacturers SCM have a long history of moulder innovation. Customers have the choice of small entry four sided planers to high production CNC controlled machines.

A classic four sided planer provides a number of advantages over separate hand fed machines or even a combination planer thicknesser. The SCM Profiset 40 is a popular through-feed solution for workshops looking to free up bottlenecks in the production of planed timber. The machine offers 4 heads and a finished section capacity of 180 x 105 mm supported with long infeed straightening table and variable speed feed.

For the production of moulded timber, the SCM Profiset 60EP models are available with up to 5 heads and optional universal head. The “EASY PLUS” electronic control option with overhead 7” LCD colour display delivers automatic powered adjustment of the near side vertical spindle and top horizontal spindle as well as the feed speed for fast, precision setting. Once set, the head positions and feed speed can be saved and recalled for repeat work.

For high production joinery work the SCM Superset NT is an automatic through feed moulder ideal for companies working multiple shifts and/or small batches, ideal for the production of window profiles, doors, stairs, beads, frames and furnishings. The machine structure has been specifically designed to enable the operator to work in ergonomic and safe conditions.

Kuper

German based manufacturer specialise in heavy duty high performance planer moulders designed for joinery and saw mill applications and feature intelligent K2 control for fast set ups.

The Kuper Compact XS model is available as a 4 or 5 head machine, ideal for customers looking for lower volume production but demanding high quality machining. Now equipped with K2 touch screen control and automatic side and top head adjustment as standard the XS also features ProLock® spindle system, pneumatic pressures, inverter feed, two full width driven infeed and outfeed rollers and swivel mounted feed unit.

With the Kuper SWT XL you can individually customise up to 9 working heads with a finished width capacity up to 350mm and a thickness of 230mm. Tool diameters up to 200mm coupled with sufficient axial spindle movement allow for the use of stacked tooling further increasing working efficiency.

Ledinek

Based in Slovenia, Ledinek’s production is focused on ultra-high-speed planer moulders for unrivalled feed speed and productivity. These exceptional machines have been developed with a focus on fast retooling and setup, low downtime and low maintenance. The Ledinek range excels in processing lumber under the most demanding conditions, wherever very large volumes have to be machined in a short time.

Everything about Ledinek machines revolve around strength and speed; feed speeds from 200 m/min to 1000 m/min, large diameter tools with maximum knife count, large feed rollers with sophisticated transmission system, individual motor powers up to 200 kW, cooled bed plates, and pressure shoes with high-performance ceramic coating. Truly awesome machines.

Support

Back up for any machine is important. For high production planer moulders it’s essential. Engineering expertise has been at the heart of Daltons Wadkin throughout their 120 year history. The support team continues to expand with several newly appointed regionally based engineers to meet growing demand.
