Lancashire based P Shipston and Sons have increased their production capacity with the installation of a new Salvador Superpush S200 Optimising Crosscut Saw. The old established family business which supplies components to the furniture industry needed to improve capacity and performance in order to increase their output.
The company, currently run by Peter Shipston, his three sons Kristian, Keiron and Karl and his daughter Kirsty, have approximately 30 employees with factories in both Lancashire and Yorkshire.
When Kristian Shipston approached Daltons Wadkin earlier in the year Sales Director Andy Walsh was able to recommend the Salvador equipment for which the company are sole UK distributors and a model was selected to suit Shipston’s requirements providing optimizing and a 4200 mm infeed capacity. Andy commented “It was obvious from the beginning that we had the right machine to suit this requirement. Salvador are a quality range of high speed machines from Italy and in addition to supplying the equipment, delivering, installing and commissioning we were also able to arrange a visit by a Salvador engineer who met Mr Shipston on site and was able to discuss the merits of the machine and in particular its ability to meet their requirements.”
Daltons Wadkin have installed Salvador machines in many parts of the UK and are experiencing if anything an increasing demand for what is becoming a well accepted and indeed sought after brand.
