On the basis that ‘you can never have too much of a good thing’ Sentinel Plastics Ltd decided to buy two new Altendorf F45 Sliding Table Panel Saws from distributor Daltons Wadkin to replace three existing and fairly elderly sawing machines.
The company, founded in 1989, specialise in machining all types of plastics, particularly GRP, polycarbonate and nylon, for a diverse range of products embracing almost anything from the food processing industry to wind turbines!
Director Simon Inston was delighted with their purchase of the two Altendorf F45 machines which are fully programmable, incorporate 2600 mm sliding tables, a 200 mm cutting capacity and power operated movements to the saw unit with digital readouts. He said, “The Altendorfs are generally recognised as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of Panel Saws and having now got two of them in our workshop you can see why they enjoy such a high reputation. The build quality and finish is superb and they will be of huge benefit to our production facility.”
Daltons Wadkin Director Andy Walsh added, “Simon had a requirement for two Sliding Table Panel Saws of high specification and accuracy to replace existing equipment which was no longer meeting the standards they required and Altendorf was the obvious choice. The Altendorf F45 is a superb machine which will bring significant benefits to Sentinel and will last them for many years to come. We were very pleased to have the opportunity of supplying the new machines and at the same time delivering and commissioning using our own transport and engineers.”
